Who we are
ID1 Verify is operated by Computer Troubleshooters Redbridge Limited (company no. 09184717), registered at Suite 1, Office No.1, 12 Chapel Road, Ilford, Greater London, IG1 2AG. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) as a data controller, registration reference ZC223824. You can check our registration on the ICO’s public register at any time.
What personal data we collect
Depending on how you contact us, we may collect:
- Your name, email address and phone or WhatsApp number
- Details of your enquiry, such as which form you need (ID1, ID2 or ID5) and your property matter
- Copies of identity documents, such as your passport or driving licence, and proof of address — but only when your solicitor requests these directly from you for your appointment, not through this website
- Standard website usage data, such as pages visited and general location, collected automatically when you browse the site
We do not ask you to send ID documents to us by email or WhatsApp. Instead, your solicitor collects these directly from you, through their own secure system, once your appointment is booked.
How we use your information
We use your contact details to respond to your enquiry, arrange your appointment, and connect you with an SRA-regulated solicitor. We may also use them to send you appointment reminders or follow up on your booking. We do this because it is necessary to provide the service you have asked for, or because we have a legitimate interest in running our business efficiently.
Sharing your data with your solicitor
ID1 Verify is a booking service, not a law firm. When you book an appointment, we pass your name and contact details to the independent, SRA-regulated solicitor who will carry out your verification. From that point, the solicitor acts as a separate data controller for the identity documents and personal data they collect from you directly, and they are responsible for handling that data under their own professional and regulatory obligations. You can check the SRA register to confirm a solicitor’s regulated status at any time.
WhatsApp and other messaging tools
If you message us on WhatsApp, your message is also processed by WhatsApp’s parent company, Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, under their own privacy policy. Because WhatsApp is a global service, your message may be processed outside the UK. If you would prefer not to use WhatsApp, you can email us instead at hello@id1verify.co.uk.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses only the cookies WordPress sets automatically for site security and, if you log in as an administrator, to keep you signed in. We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies that track visitors.
How long we keep your data
We keep enquiry and booking details for as long as needed to provide our service and to meet our accounting and legal obligations, then delete them. If your enquiry does not lead to a booking, we keep your details for a shorter period before deleting them.
Your data protection rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Ask us what personal data we hold about you
- Ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Ask us to delete your data, where we are not required to keep it
- Object to how we use your data

Where your data is stored
Our website is hosted in the UK/EU. Some tools we use, such as WhatsApp, may store or process data outside the UK. Where this happens, the provider is responsible for putting appropriate safeguards in place.
Children
Our service is intended for adults dealing with property matters. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. So if you have questions about a previous version, just get in touch.
