About ID1 Verify
ID1 Verify helps you prove your identity to HM Land Registry. If you are dealing with property and you do not have a solicitor acting for you, then the Land Registry needs to check who you are. This is done with an ID1, ID2 or ID5 form. So we make that step quick and simple.
ID1 Verify is founded and run by Mudassar Choudhary, who built and maintains this site directly, including its guides and content. He is the author of Beyond the Hype: A Content Creator’s Guide to Thriving in the Post-AI-Cost-Crash Economy, and brings that same close attention to detail to keeping the guidance on this site accurate. Alongside ID1 Verify, Mudassar is the director of Computer Troubleshooters Redbridge Limited, an IT support company. Read more about Mudassar →
What we do
First, you book a short video call. Then a qualified, SRA-regulated solicitor checks your ID. After that, they fill in, sign and stamp your form. Finally, you get it back the same day and send it to HM Land Registry with your application. Because everything happens online, you do not need to travel or find a local solicitor yourself.
What we are — and what we are not
We are not a law firm. In other words, we do not do the legal work ourselves. Instead, we are a booking service that connects you with a regulated solicitor who does. As a result, the process stays simple, fast, and clearly priced.
Verification is currently carried out by an independent, SRA-regulated solicitor (SRA no. 7017998). You can check the SRA register at any time.
Why we started ID1 Verify
Many people find it hard to book a solicitor just to verify an ID1 form. This is especially true if you are older, live abroad, or are handling a property matter on your own. That is why we built a service that is easy to use for everyone. Above all, we wanted fair, fixed pricing with no confusing extras.
Our promise
One fixed price
You pay a clear fee, and nothing is hidden.
A real, regulated solicitor
Your ID is checked by an SRA-regulated professional, not a call centre.
Fast when you need it
For example, same-day, evening and weekend appointments are often available.
Easy for everyone
Because the site meets modern accessibility standards, it works whatever your age, device or ability.
